Tremron Construction in North Las Vegas, NV | Ellsworth Contractors
Independent Tremron service across North Las Vegas is what we do every day, and we also handle Tremron in Las Vegas. What makes our work different here comes down to one thing: we build and repair hardscape on caliche-hardpan desert ground, not imported fill, so we know exactly how Tremron pavers, wall block, and caps behave when the base fights back. If you’re in 89030, 89031, 89084, 89085, 89086, or 89087 with a Tremron patio, driveway, or retaining wall that’s settling, blooming, or spalling, call Ellsworth Contractors at (888) 445-6077 for a straight answer and a free estimate.
Why North Las Vegas Residents Choose Us for Tremron Service
Reed Calloway, the owner of Ellsworth Contractors, grew up in the Whitney neighborhood and spent nearly three decades watching this valley shift from scrubland to construction corridor. That background means something when you’re standing on a North Las Vegas lot where the excavator just spent a morning jackhammering caliche before anyone could set a level base. We don’t guess at how Tremron units sit on this ground. We’ve laid them on it.
Our approach is independent and direct. We’re not Tremron-authorized, sponsored, or warranty-endorsed by the manufacturer. What we are is a crew that uses Tremron-manufactured matching units, caps, and step treads for color and profile continuity, plus proper polymeric joint sand and compaction equipment rather than box-store substitutes. For homeowners across North Las Vegas who want the job done once, that’s the difference that matters.
Beyond Tremron work, we’re a single-source general contractor in North Las Vegas. From roofline to paver, we handle roofing, siding, windows, fencing, countertops, cabinetry, and full remodels, so one accountable company manages the job instead of a patchwork of trades. If you’re already talking to us about your paver driveway off Craig Road and you also need James Hardie siding or a GAF roof, we can line up the entire scope without a second phone call.

Common Tremron Construction Problems We Solve in North Las Vegas
- Efflorescence and white salt bloom on pavers. Caliche-laden base material and monsoon water wick upward through open joints, leaving chalky white deposits on the surface. We see this most on patios and walkways in older 89030 and 89032 lots where the original base was never properly isolated from the hardpan.
- Edge spalling and chipping. Tremron units crack at the edges when they’re vibratory-plated or compacted incorrectly on flat, hard desert ground. The plate bounces instead of seating, and the edges take the abuse. Proper lift compaction and plate sizing prevents it.
- Settlement and lippage at paver-to-concrete transitions. Footing trenches ripped through caliche and backfilled unevenly almost always settle differently than adjacent compacted base. The pavers drop, a lip forms, and trip hazards follow. We reset the transition zone with a properly compacted lift sequence.
- Color fade and joint sand loss. West- and south-facing Tremron patios under 105 – 115°F summers with intense UV take a beating. Classic Old Towne and Stonegate colors hold up reasonably well, but joint sand without polymeric binder washes out in the first or second good monsoon.
- Retaining wall leaning or bulging. Mini and standard Tremron wall systems fail when drainage behind the wall wasn’t installed or when the wall sits on uncompacted backfill over caliche. We rebuild with proper geogrid or drainage aggregate where the soil demands it.
Tremron Service in North Las Vegas: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment
North Las Vegas is one of the fastest-growing big cities in the country, and much of its construction is happening on raw desert land annexed in the last 20 to 30 years. That means contractors here routinely build on undeveloped Mojave scrub that requires grading, blasting through caliche, and dust-control compliance before a single footing is poured. Unlike adjacent Las Vegas or Henderson, where infill and redevelopment dominate, North Las Vegas work is overwhelmingly greenfield master-planned subdivision and industrial/warehouse construction on unproven desert ground.
For Tremron hardscape, that reality changes the entire job sequence. A paver driveway or patio can’t go directly onto ripped caliche. The hardpan has to come out or be stabilized, then a proper compacted aggregate base goes in, lifts get compacted, and Clark County’s dust-control rules (Rule 94/114) require watering at the right times to keep the inspection moving. Infill-heavy Las Vegas or Henderson jobs rarely face that sequence. We ran a full Tremron paver driveway and walkway in the master-planned subdivisions off the 89084/89085 edges where the excavator jackhammered a caliche shelf before we could set a proper base. Matching caps, step treads, re-compaction in lifts, polymeric joint sand so monsoon runoff wouldn’t wash the joints out. That driveway passed the watering and dust inspection on the first walk.
Tremron Models & Products We Service in North Las Vegas
We work on the full Tremron hardscape lineup: pavers in Old Towne, Woodstone, and Stonegate styles, in both tumbled and non-tumbled finishes; mini and standard retaining wall block and caps; step treads, pool coping, and bullnose edging; plus patio and walkway pavers. When a unit is damaged and the rest of the surface is sound, we source Tremron-manufactured replacement units rather than generic copies so the color and profile line up, just as we do for Tremron repair in Winchester. If a patio or driveway is mostly intact, we reset and re-sand. If efflorescence, spalling, or base failure is widespread across the surface, we recommend full replacement rather than patching, because patching a failed base just moves the problem six months down the line.
Our Tremron sales & service work also includes paver driveways, paver patios, and concrete driveways. For a broader look at where we cover, see our North Las Vegas service area page.

AfterTremron Service Pricing in North Las Vegas
Here are the line-item ranges we give clients for the most common Tremron jobs in North Las Vegas. These numbers reflect the cost of proper base prep on caliche ground, not just dropping pavers on dirt.
| Project | Price Range |
|---|---|
| Paver Driveway Installation | $7,000 – $18,000 |
| Paver Patio Installation | $3,500 – $11,000 |
| Concrete Driveway Installation | $4,500 – $12,000 |
| Driveway Replacement | $5,000 – $14,000 |
What drives the spread is base work. A small patio on a properly prepared lot lands at the low end. A driveway with a foot of caliche to rip, plus edge restraints, step treads, and matching caps, climbs toward the top. Our free estimates include a written line-item quote, material list, and a clear explanation of what the base prep actually requires on your specific lot. Call (888) 445-6077 to schedule one.

FAQs – Tremron Construction in North Las Vegas
White chalky bloom on Tremron pavers is efflorescence, and in North Las Vegas it’s most often triggered by caliche-laden base material and monsoon water wicking up through open joints. The calcium carbonate in the local hardpan dissolves, migrates upward, and dries as white salt on the surface. We remove it with proper cleaning methods and then address the joint sand and drainage so it doesn’t come right back. Call (888) 445-6077 and we’ll tell you whether your patio needs cleaning, re-sanding, or a deeper fix.
Yes. Caliche is a calcium-carbonate hardpan that runs under much of the north valley, and when it sits where your base needs to go, the excavator has to rip or jackhammer it out before we can compact aggregate lifts. That adds labor hours and sometimes a day to the schedule compared to a lot without caliche. It’s not optional. Skip it, and your pavers settle. We build that work into the quote upfront so there are no surprise line items after the dig starts. Call (888) 445-6077 for an exact price on your lot.
Usually not the same day. Monsoon microbursts in North Las Vegas flood flat, hard ground fast, and if the base is saturated or channels have formed, compacting over it traps water and defeats the purpose. We wait until the base drains or we re-cut and re-compact the affected zones. Rushing it is how you get the spalled edges and settlement we’re hired to fix later. If you’re planning a driveway, call (888) 445-6077 and we’ll time the schedule around the weather.
Yes, and they’re one of the most common hardscape choices we install in those newer subdivisions and master-planned communities. The tumbled Old Towne and Stonegate lines hold up well on the flat, stucco-and-tile lots out there, provided the base is prepared for the caliche underneath and the joints are sealed with polymeric sand. We’ve done full driveways off the 89084 and 89085 edges where the base prep made the difference between a level surface and one that starts lipping at the garage apron within two years.
Here in North Las Vegas, a paver patio runs roughly $3,500 to $11,000, and a paver driveway runs $7,000 to $18,000 depending on square footage, access, and how much caliche we have to rip out. Concrete driveway installation runs $4,500 to $12,000. The only honest way to price it is to walk the lot. Call (888) 445-6077 and we’ll give you a written line-item quote, free.
